Volume profile

Traditional volume shows volume per TIME period. Volume profile shows volume per PRICE level — revealing the 'point of control' (POC). POC often acts as a magnet or support/resistance.

→Stocks — exchange volume is reliable
→Crypto — exchange-specific; aggregate for true picture
→Forex — no centralised volume; broker tick volume is a proxy
→Futures — exchange volume is highly accurate
